Job Description :

We are looking for a Lead Full Stack Engineer (MERN + AI) with strong hands-on expertise and leadership capabilities to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable web applications and AI-powered solutions.

This role combines deep technical ownership across the MERN stack with applied Generative AI capabilities (RAG, LangChain, LLM integrations).

The ideal candidate is a player-coach who can lead squads, collaborate with senior stakeholders (including CTO-level), and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Full Stack Leadership & Architecture :

- Lead design and development of full-stack applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js

- Architect scalable and secure systems with a focus on performance, resilience, and maintainability

- Own end-to-end delivery including backend APIs, frontend UI, and AI integrations

- Make key decisions on architecture patterns, code quality, and technology adoption

AI / GenAI Engineering :

- Design and implement AI-powered features using LLMs (OpenAI or similar)

- Build solutions leveraging :

1. RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation)

2. LangChain / LangGraph frameworks

3. Vector databases and embeddings

4. Prompt engineering and evaluation pipelines

- Integrate AI capabilities into applications such as chatbots, automation workflows, and recommendation systems

Development Excellence :

- Write clean, maintainable code with strong emphasis on :

1. Unit and integration testing

2. Security best practices (OWASP Top 10)

3. Code coverage and review standards

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across frontend and backend systems

- Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

System Integrations & Platform Development :

- Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices

- Integrate with third-party systems and enterprise APIs

- Design modules such as :

1. Campaign management systems

2. Workflow automation engines

3. Reporting and analytics pipelines

Team Leadership :

- Lead and mentor a team/squad of engineers (12 years leadership experience expected)

- Drive sprint delivery, code reviews, and engineering best practices

- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning

Stakeholder Management :

- Collaborate with CTOs, product managers, and business stakeholders

- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

- Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences

Mandatory Skills :

- 7 to 8+ years of experience in full-stack development

- Strong hands-on expertise in MERN Stack

- Experience in AI / GenAI systems (LLMs, RAG, or LangChain) (Hands-on preferred; POC-level acceptable if solid understanding)

- 1 to 2 years of team leadership experience

- Strong knowledge of :

1. API design and distributed systems

2. Testing (unit, integration)

3. Security and performance optimization

- Experience with modern developer tools (Git, CI/CD, debugging)
