About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead - Full Stack Engineer to join our engineering team. We are seeking a product-focused engineer with a strong backend foundation who can lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, AI-enabled cloud applications. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building end-to-end products, thrives in a fast-paced product environment, and is passionate about leveraging AI to build innovative solutions.

This role requires a highly hands-on technical leader who can independently own product features from architecture and implementation through production deployment while collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance full-stack applications.

- Lead the development of cloud-native applications with a primary focus on backend engineering using Python.

- Build high-performance backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.

- Develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React.

- Architect and deploy applications on AWS using cloud-native and serverless technologies.

- Own features end-to-end from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment, and production support.

- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality products.

- Build AI-powered product experiences by integrating LLMs and Generative AI capabilities into production applications.

- Champion AI-driven engineering practices and leverage AI tools to improve developer productivity and software quality.

- Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schema design, performance tuning, indexing, query optimization, and ongoing database management.

- Mentor engineers through technical leadership, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 7-12+ years of software engineering experience with strong expertise in Full Stack development.

- Expert-level experience in Python with hands-on development using FastAPI for building scalable, high-performance backend services and REST APIs.

- Full Stack development experience with approximately 70% Backend (Python) and 30% Frontend (React).

- Strong experience designing and building end-to-end production-grade applications.

- Hands-on expertise with React.js and modern frontend development practices.

- Strong AWS experience, including infrastructure, cloud-native architecture, serverless services, and deployment automation.

- Experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or AI Agents into production applications.

- Strong understanding of AI-assisted software development tools and modern engineering workflows.

- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, schema management, query optimization, indexing, migrations, and performance tuning.

- Experience designing scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

- Strong knowledge of software architecture, system design, security, and engineering best practices.

- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proven ability to independently drive projects from concept through production deployment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in a product-based SaaS organization.

- Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and asynchronous systems.

- Experience building highly scalable multi-tenant applications.
