Technical Data Analyst - Azure Databricks

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the creation of a single source of truth for our direct-to-consumer accounting and financial data warehouse.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, SQL, and data transformation, along with experience in financial data warehousing and reporting.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with finance and accounting teams to gather requirements, build dashboards, and transform data to support month-end accounting, tax reporting, and financial forecasting.

The financial data warehouse is currently established in Snowflake and will be transitioned to Databricks.

Your responsibilities will include migrating reporting and transformation processes to Databricks while ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the data throughout the transition.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Analysis & Reporting :

- Develop and maintain month-end accounting and tax dashboards utilizing SQL and Snowsight in Snowflake.

- Shift reporting processes to Databricks, creating dashboards and reports to aid finance and accounting teams.

- Collect requirements from finance and accounting stakeholders to design and provide actionable insights.

Data Transformation & Aggregation :

- Guarantee data accuracy and consistency during the migration from Snowflake to Databricks.

- Collaborate with the data engineering team to enhance data ingestion and transformation processes

Data Integration & ERP Collaboration :

transformation and validation.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless data flow between systems.

Data Ingestion & Tools :

- Resolve data-related issues in cooperation with the data engineering team.

Additional Qualifications :

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake and Databricks.

- Experience in building dashboards and reports for financial data.

- Familiarity with Fivetran or similar data ingestion tools.

- Understanding of financial data concepts.

- Experience with data transformation and aggregation in a cloud-based environment
