Overview :

- Pooltrackr, a leading vertical SaaS platform, is looking for a highly experienced Senior Technical Lead or Software Architect to establish and lead our engineering presence in Pune.

This role is critical in laying the foundation for a scalable, high-performing development team to support Pooltrackr's global growth, particularly in the US market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Act as the technical cornerstone of the Pune team, owning the delivery and code quality across all Pooltrackr platforms (web, API, mobile)

- Collaborate closely with the AU-based CTO and team to understand product priorities and ensure alignment

- Lead architectural decisions and enforce best practices across frontend (React), backend (Laravel/PHP), and mobile (React Native) codebases

- Conduct code reviews, mentor future team members, and drive engineering excellence

- Gradually build and scale the Pune team by participating in hiring, onboarding, and technical enablement

- Proactively manage delivery risks and remove technical blockers

- Contribute hands-on where necessary in early phases (especially for complex or critical areas)

Required Qualifications :

- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with recent experience as a team lead, architect, or senior technical leader

- Proven experience working with SaaS platforms and modern cloud-based application architectures

Strong knowledge of :

- Backend : Laravel/PHP

- Frontend : React, Next.js

- Mobile : React Native

- Experience with CI/CD practices, Git workflows, and Agile/Scrum delivery

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment across time zones

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-region teams and align technical work with business goals

Desirable :

- Prior experience in establishing or scaling offshore delivery teams

- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and DevOps principles

- Background in service industries or vertical SaaS is a plus

What Success Looks Like :

- Within 3 months : Full understanding of the Pooltrackr architecture and codebase; actively supporting AU team in delivery

- Within 6 months : Leading small initiatives independently and mentoring new team members

- Within 12 months : Fully operational local team under your guidance, contributing effectively to Pooltrackr's roadmap
