About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled Tech Lead who can architect robust systems, guide the engineering team, and drive technical excellence across our product ecosystem. This role involves leading backend development, optimizing complex architectures, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring smooth, scalable product delivery for millions of learners across India.

Core Technical Skills (Mandatory) :

Backend & Programming :

- Strong expertise in Python Django (Primary) with working knowledge of PHP

- Experience in REST APIs, ORM, caching, and distributed backend architectures

- Proficiency in performance engineering for large-scale applications

Databases :

- MySQL / MongoDB schema design, performance tuning, and indexing

Messaging, Streaming & Realtime Systems :

- Experience with Firebase, WebSockets, RabbitMQ, Celery/Async task execution

- Understanding of HLS video encoding and streaming pipelines

Cloud & DevOps :

- Hands-on experience with the AWS stack including :

- EC2, ALB, S3, Networking/VPC, Route53, CloudWatch

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab-based deployments

- Strong debugging and production monitoring skills

AI & Integrations :

- Exposure to GenAI & LLM integrations, including RAG implementation

- Experience in integrating with CRM systems, Zoom, and social platforms

Bonus Skills :

- Exposure to Android and iOS application development

- Experience building Assessment Engines or LMS platforms

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and architect scalable backend systems for both Web and Mobile applications

- Review code, enforce engineering standards, and ensure high-quality deliverables

- Monitor application health, optimize performance, and proactively address bottlenecks

- Manage and optimize AWS infrastructure, ensuring system reliability and cost efficiency

- Solve scaling, performance, and reliability challenges across multiple platforms

- Own deployments, debugging, production stability, and incident management

- Collaborate closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless product experiences

- Drive documentation, process improvements, and best engineering practices
