Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated System C Programmer with strong expertise in SystemC, C/C++, and embedded system modeling to join our advanced engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-performance SystemC/TLM models, enabling early hardware/software co-design, architecture validation, virtual platform development, and performance optimization for next-generation semiconductor and embedded systems.
The candidate will work closely with system architects, RTL designers, firmware teams, and verification engineers to create accurate transaction-level models (TLM), virtual prototypes, and simulation environments for complex SoC and embedded platform development.
This role requires deep understanding of computer architecture, embedded systems, simulation methodologies, and hardware-software interaction within semiconductor or system-level development environments.
Key Responsibilities :
SystemC & TLM Development :
- Design, develop, and maintain SystemC/TLM models for complex embedded and SoC systems.
- Build transaction-level models (TLM 2.0) for early architecture exploration and software development.
- Implement cycle-approximate and functional models for system-level simulations.
- Develop reusable SystemC components and simulation infrastructure for scalable virtual platform development.
- Create configurable and modular simulation models aligned with architecture specifications.
Architecture Modeling & System Design :
- Collaborate with system architects and RTL teams to define and model system behavior.
- Participate in hardware/software co-design activities for embedded platforms.
- Translate architecture specifications into SystemC-based executable models.
- Model interconnects, memory subsystems, bus protocols, and peripheral components.
- Support architecture trade-off analysis, scalability studies, and feature validation.
Performance Modeling & Optimization :
- Perform system-level performance analysis and bottleneck identification.
- Analyze throughput, latency, bandwidth utilization, memory access patterns, and power/performance trade-offs.
- Optimize SystemC simulation models for execution speed and accuracy.
- Develop profiling and instrumentation mechanisms for performance measurement.
- Support early-stage design decisions through simulation-driven insights.
Virtual Platform & Simulation Integration :
- Integrate SystemC models into virtual platforms and simulation frameworks.
- Develop simulation environments supporting firmware and software bring-up before silicon availability.
- Support co-simulation with RTL, ISS (Instruction Set Simulators), and hardware accelerators.
- Work with virtual prototype environments for software validation and testing.
- Enable integration with debuggers, trace tools, and verification environments.
Validation & Debugging :
- Debug and validate SystemC models against architecture specifications and RTL implementations.
- Perform functional validation, protocol compliance checks, and behavioral verification.
- Analyze simulation results and resolve mismatches between SystemC models and RTL behavior.
- Develop test scenarios and debugging utilities for model validation.
- Collaborate with verification teams to improve model accuracy and coverage.
Embedded Software Enablement :
- Contribute to early firmware and software development using virtual prototypes.
