Purpose of the Role :

The Systems Engineering Lead India serves as the primary technical and execution leader for India-based systems engineering activities. This role works in close collaboration with global engineering leadership and is responsible for providing leadership, mentorship, and technical direction across system requirements, software requirements, and functional safety engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Leadership & Team Management :

- Lead and mentor India-based systems engineering teams through regular 1 : 1 engagement

- Provide technical guidance across requirements and functional safety domains

- Ensure strong alignment and collaboration with global stakeholders

2. System-Level Execution :

- Oversee development and management of system requirements

- Facilitate technical reviews, risk assessments, and design discussions

- Drive continuous improvement in product understanding and requirement quality

3. Requirements Engineering :

- Enhance interpretation and translation of customer requirements

- Collaborate with validation and testing teams to ensure requirement testability

- Drive compliance with ASPICE processes and standards

4. Functional Safety (ISO 26262) :

- Provide oversight and leadership for functional safety activities

- Ensure adherence to ISO 26262 workflows and best practices

5. Cybersecurity Collaboration :

- Support development of cybersecurity-related system requirements

- Promote adherence to cybersecurity processes and standards

6. Process, Quality & Tools :

- Ensure consistent adoption of engineering standards, tools, and best practices

- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality

7. System Validation & Compliance :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on test planning and execution

- Ensure system compliance with defined standards and requirements

8. Strategic Alignment :

- Execute and localize systems engineering strategies for India

- Align team objectives with organizational and departmental goals

Key Initiatives (Quarterly Goals) :

- Define and deliver measurable outcomes in alignment with global engineering leadership

- Support broader engineering and business objectives through focused execution

Travel Requirements :

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including to global engineering centers

Education & Experience :

Required :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering

- 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering

Preferred :

- Masters degree in Engineering or related field

- Experience in Functional Safety (ISO 26262)
