- Identify, document, track, and validate software defects using defect management tools
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand business and technical requirements
- Validate software functionality, usability, stability, and performance across different environments
- Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to ensure testability and quality compliance
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks where applicable
- Perform root cause analysis and assist in troubleshooting software issues
- Ensure product quality through continuous testing and process improvements
- Prepare detailed test reports, validation summaries, and release sign-off documentation
- Support CI/CD and Agile development processes for continuous quality assurance
- Work closely with cross-functional teams during release cycles and production support activities
- Validate software against customer requirements and quality standards
- Contribute to the improvement of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
- Monitor AV sync, decode/encode timing, and other audio performance metrics.
- Collaborate with offshore QA teams for test execution, reporting, and release sign-off.
- Prepare detailed validation plans covering regular and corner consumer scenarios.
- Provide test infrastructure to engineering teams to improve product quality.
Must-Have Skills :
- IoT/VoIP audio experience or certification.
- Knowledge of audio pipelines, signal processing, codecs, formats, noise cancellation.
- Experience with audio frameworks: ALSA, Xtensa, DSP, gst-launch, ffplay.
- Comfortable in Linux environment with basic scripting (pytest).
- Experience in AV sync testing and frame-by-frame decode/encode measurement.
