Sprouts.ai - Platform Architect

Job Overview :

The candidate must demonstrate the ability to recommend architecture improvements, evaluate new technologies, propose effective solutions, conduct proof of concepts (PoCs), and develop architectural diagrams aligned with strategic business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

- Solution Design : Design end-to-end solutions leveraging modern technologies in Cloud platforms such as Distributed streaming e.g.Kafka, Microservices architecture Kubernetes. Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in full-stack applications. Architect scalable and resilient data lakes, caches and data pipelines for big data processing and powering AI solutions to house both structured and unstructured data. AI/ML design experience is a bonus.

- Technology Evaluation & Proof of Concept (PoC) : Evaluate new technologies and provide strategic recommendations to enhance the technology landscape. Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements to the current technology stack. Document the trade offs

- Architecture Blueprints : Create high-level architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and reference architectures for stakeholders and to the engineering team to execute. Present architecture solutions to leadership, developers, and cross-functional teams.

- Public-serving layer : Design and implement a scalable public-serving layer that exposes internal applications and services as secure, reliable, and high-performance APIs for external customer consumption.

- Performance Optimization & Reliability Engineering : Design robust and highly available architectures with failover and disaster recovery capabilities. Optimize system performance through efficient use of caching, load balancing, and resource scaling. Analyze and recommend solutions for repeated operational issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Architecture & Software Design :

- Experience in developing architecture diagrams and technical documentation using tools like Miro, Lucidchart, or similar.

- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API management, Front end designs and event-driven systems. AI ecosystem

experience is a plus.

Core Technologies :

- Proficiency in enterprise-scale solutions including Kafka, Java backend, Kubernetes, Redis and Cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

- Hands-on expertise in full-stack development across front-end and back-end technologies.

- Hands-on experience with containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), and experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Ability to understand Data Lake architectures, Pyspark data pipelines, real time data processing and Database migrations.

Security & Compliance :

- Ability to incorporate security considerations into architecture designs.

Soft Skills :

- Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with AI and Machine learning frameworks and their integration into enterprise applications.

- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working with cross-functional teams.
