Job Description

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Senior GIS Solution Architect to lead the data-tier architecture for a Land Information System (LIS) project. The role will work closely with application and platform partners to define, review, and govern the spatial data architecture, enterprise geodatabase, ETL framework, and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design logical and physical enterprise spatial data models aligned with LADM and NSDI standards.

- Define architecture for ArcGIS Enterprise, Enterprise Geodatabase, SQL Server, and multi-tier GIS environments.

- Design ETL/data integration architecture, including pipelines, validation, error handling, scheduling, and data lineage.

- Define spatial API and integration contracts using REST, OGC services, GeoJSON, and JSON.

- Review the overall solution architecture from a data-tier perspective and provide architecture sign-off.

- Define database strategies covering schema, indexing, partitioning, versioning, performance, and HA/DR.

- Support integration with government/agency systems and NSDI publication frameworks.

- Participate in architecture review meetings and provide consultative support during system integration and acceptance.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in enterprise GIS and spatial data architecture.

- Hands-on expertise with ArcGIS Enterprise, Server, Portal, Data Store, and Geodatabase.

- Strong SQL Server / enterprise RDBMS knowledge, including performance tuning and HA.

- Experience with FME, ArcGIS Data Interoperability, Python, or similar ETL tools.

- Knowledge of REST, WMS, WFS, WMTS, GeoJSON, and spatial data exchange.

- Understanding of ISO 19152 (LADM), ISO 19115/19139, and NSDI standards.

- Experience with cloud/on-premise GIS deployments and DevTestUATProduction environments.

Domain Experience :

- Land Information Systems, cadastre, parcel management, or land-record modernisation.

- Government/public-sector GIS projects is preferred.

- Experience working across multiple technology and delivery partners.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, GIS/Geo-informatics, Geography, Surveying, Information Systems, or a related field. Masters degree and ESRI certifications are an advantage.

Key Competencies :

- Strong architectural documentation, stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively in a multi-partner project environment.
