Key Responsibilities :

Architectural Leadership :

- Define, design, and govern the architecture for modern card-issuing platforms leveraging microservices, event-driven, and cloud-native principles.

Solution Design :

- Translate business requirements into technical architecture and high-level designs covering application, data, infrastructure, and security layers.

Technical Governance :

- Ensure architectural compliance with enterprise standards, scalability, performance, and security guidelines.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Partner with product managers, engineering leads, and business stakeholders to design composable, API-first, and reusable services.

Innovation & Modernization :

- Drive modernization of legacy card systems to cloud-based architectures and integration with open banking APIs.

Framework Implementation :

- Apply relevant banking frameworks such as BIAN, ISO20022, and Open Banking standards to solution design.

End-to-End Delivery :

- Oversee the implementation lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and DevSecOps practices.

Mentorship :

- Guide development teams on best practices for system design, scalability, and cloud adoption.

Primary Skills :

- Architecture & Design Patterns : Microservices, Cloud-native, API-First, Event-driven, and Composable Architecture styles

- Technology Stack : Java, Spring Boot / Quarkus, REST APIs, PostgreSQL or any RDBMS, Kubernetes, Kafka

- Certifications (Preferred) : TOGAF or Cloud certifications (AWS / GCP / Azure Solution Architect)

- Domain Expertise : Card Issuing, BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later)

Experience Requirements :

- Total Experience : Minimum 15 years overall, with 5+ years as a Solution Architect or Product Architect in a FinTech environment

- Domain Experience : Strong background in Cards domain ideally with hands-on experience designing and implementing modern card platforms using cloud-native and microservices architectures

- Platform Experience (Preferred) : VisionPlus / FirstVision hands-on coding experience preferred (not just BA-level involvement)

- Industry Frameworks : Familiarity with BIAN, Open Banking, and ISO 20022

Architecture Breadth : Proven experience designing solutions for :

- Scalable Web Architectures

- API-First Design

- Event-Driven Systems

- Cloud-Native / Serverless Computing

- DevSecOps Integration

- Data Migration and Integration

- Solution Coverage : Delivered end-to-end solutions spanning Application, Data, Infrastructure, and Security layers
