Solution Architect (AWS & AI)
About the Role:
Client of Hiringflow is looking for a hands-on Solution Architect who enjoys sitting at the intersection of technology and customers - understanding problems, building demos and showing customers what is possible. This is a role for someone who likes to build as much as they like to talk to customers - running technical conversations, building proofs of concept and demos, and helping customers and sales teams turn opportunities into successful engagements. You will work across cloud, data and Generative AI solutions on AWS, supporting the full pre-sales journey from first conversation to a technical win and a smooth handover to delivery. You will get the opportunity to work on a wide range of customer problems across industries. You don't need to know every technology on day one. What matters is strong technical fundamentals, curiosity, clear communication and the ability to learn and build quickly.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with sales and account teams to qualify opportunities and run technical discovery with customers.
- Understand customer business problems and map them to solutions using AWS services and accelerators.
- Build compelling demos and proofs of concept for Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, data and cloud-native solutions using services such as Amazon Bedrock, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB and OpenSearch.
- Write working code in Python or TypeScript and use infrastructure as code (CDK/Terraform) to build repeatable demo environments.
- Present solutions and architectures to technical and business audiences, from engineers to CXOs.
- Respond to RFPs and RFIs, and contribute to solution proposals, architecture diagrams and effort estimates.
- Run technical workshops, hackathons, immersion days and webinars for customers.
- Work with AWS partner teams on joint opportunities, funding programs and co-selling activities.
- Handle technical objections and questions around security, compliance, performance and cost.
- Ensure a smooth handover of customer requirements and context to delivery teams.
- Maintain and improve library of demos, POCs and pre-sales assets.
- Share customer feedback with product and engineering teams to shape accelerators and offerings.
What We're Looking For:
- 4+ years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales, software engineering or cloud consulting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and a good understanding of core services across compute, storage, databases, networking and security.
- Ability to write working code in Python, TypeScript or a similar language to build demos and POCs.
- Good understanding of Generative AI concepts such as LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG and AI agents, and hands-on experience building with them.
- Experience presenting technical solutions to customers and adapting the message for different audiences.
- Experience contributing to proposals, RFP responses or solution designs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer opportunities at the same time.
- A customer-first mindset and willingness to get hands-on when something needs to be built or shown.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents/AgentCore, Amazon Q or SageMaker AI.
- Experience with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Strands or MCP.
- Experience with data and analytics services on AWS.
- Experience with AWS partner programs such as MAP, POC funding or AWS Marketplace.
- Experience in an AWS partner, IT services or consulting organisation.
- Experience working with customers in Financial Services, Healthcare or Public Sector.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or multi-cloud environments.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, AI Practitioner or Generative AI Developer.
- Public speaking, technical blogs, GitHub projects or demos backed by working code.
What Success Looks Like:
- Customers clearly understand how company can solve their problems and choose to work with us.
- The demos and POCs you build win customer confidence and lead to production engagements.
- Sales teams see you as a trusted technical partner on every important opportunity.
- Delivery teams receive well-scoped engagements with clear requirements.
- Your demos and assets become reusable company IP.
- You grow into a trusted technical advisor for strategic customers.
