About the Role :

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead - Embedded Software Engineer to drive the technical direction of complex embedded platforms supporting smart energy, IoT, and connected products.

This position requires strong architectural expertise, deep embedded systems knowledge, and the ability to lead technical execution across multiple engineering teams.

The successful candidate will own critical technical decisions from platform architecture through product deployment and will work closely with global R&D, hardware, product, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and drive the embedded software architecture and technical roadmap for complex IoT and smart-energy platforms.

- Lead the design of scalable Embedded Linux software platforms spanning low-level firmware, system services, middleware, and application layers.

- Make architectural decisions around modularity, scalability, performance, reliability, security, and long-term product maintainability.

- Lead technical development of C/C++ software for high-performance embedded systems.

- Establish software architecture standards, design patterns, coding practices, and engineering guidelines across embedded development teams.

- Guide the integration of embedded software with processors, microcontrollers, sensors, power electronics, communication modules, and hardware platforms.

- Drive resolution of complex system-level issues involving firmware, Linux, hardware, networking, and application software.

- Review technical designs and provide architectural direction for critical product features.

- Lead investigations into performance bottlenecks, system instability, memory issues, boot-time problems, communication failures, and production defects.

- Collaborate with global engineering teams to establish reusable embedded platforms and common software components.

- Drive secure and reliable IoT architectures, including device communication, authentication, software updates, diagnostics, and system resilience.

- Partner with product managers and engineering leadership to translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.

- Establish technical metrics and engineering practices to improve software quality, development efficiency, and product reliability.

- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads while building a strong engineering culture around architecture and technical excellence.

- Support product releases, production ramp-up, field issues, and lifecycle management of embedded products.

- Stay current with developments in Embedded Linux, connected devices, edge computing, IoT architectures, and embedded software technologies.

Required Skills :

- 16+ years of experience in embedded software, firmware, or embedded systems engineering.

- Expert-level programming experience in C and C++.

- Strong expertise in Embedded Linux architecture and system-level development.

- Extensive experience designing complex embedded platforms and software architectures.

- Strong understanding of operating systems, multithreading, IPC, memory management, boot processes, device drivers, and system optimization.

- Experience integrating software with hardware, microcontrollers, sensors, communication interfaces, and complex electronic systems.

- Strong understanding of distributed and connected IoT systems.

- Experience with software architecture, technical leadership, design reviews, coding standards, and engineering governance.

- Proficiency with Git and modern build, debugging, CI/CD, and development environments.

- Experience with Python or scripting languages for engineering automation and diagnostics.

- Understanding of secure embedded systems, device connectivity, software update mechanisms, and product security.

- Experience working across the complete product lifecycle from architecture and development through production and field support.

- Experience in renewable energy, power electronics, industrial automation, automotive, IoT, or other complex embedded product environments is highly desirable.
