Job Description :

As an Embedded & Automation Engineer, you will be a crucial member of the SolarEdge India R&D team, responsible for developing embedded automation and application firmware for our advanced solar energy products.

You will play a key role in developing Python-based automation tools, implementing test processes, and developing embedded applications ensuring reliability, performance, and seamless integration with our hardware platforms.

What You'll Be Doing :

- Develop Python-based automation tools to test real-time embedded systems.

- Define and implement test processes and flows using Python.

- Design and simulate test circuits using simulation tools.

- Read and deeply understand complex embedded systems written in C.

- Opportunity to grow into Embedded software development over time.

- Design, implement and test embedded application features.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's (B. Tech.) in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of relevant industrial experience in automation, testing and embedded C programming.

- Master's (M. Tech.) in Embedded System Engineering/ Power Electronics with 2+ years of relevant industrial experience in automation, testing and embedded C programming.

- Excellent knowledge of Python - experience with Pytest.

- Solid experience with Embedded C development, especially bare metal coding.

- Proficiency with Git - experience with CI/CD tools is an advantage.

- Experience in the renewable energy or power electronics industry is an added advantage.

- Hands-on experience with circuit simulation tools such as PSpice, Simulink, or Typhoon HIL - considered a strong advantage.

- Strong understanding of microcontrollers/microprocessors, peripherals, and embedded system architectures.

- Hands-on embedded application firmware experience using MCUs such as TI/ST/Renesas etc.

- Working knowledge on the protocols and device drivers for SPI, I2C, UART, CAN.

- Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering robust and reliable embedded software.
