Software Validation Engineer - Substation Automation

Job Responsibilities:

- Software testing and validation for substation automation systems

- Functional, integration, regression, and compatibility testing

- Validate software configurations and system functionality

- Execute test cases and document defects

- Perform network and protocol analysis

- Work with IEC 61850-based systems and merging units

Required Skills:

- IEC 61850

- GOOSE, MMS, Sampled Values (SV)

- SCL Engineering - ICD, CID, SCD

- Substation Automation / SCADA / Electrical Protection

- Software Testing & Validation

- Configuration validation

- Network/Protocol analysis

Good to Have:

- Python scripting / test automation

- Test management tools

- Source control

- CI/CD knowledge

- Agile methodology
