Job Description

Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (masters preferred).

- 12+ years of experience in software development, with 4+ years in engineering leadership roles.

- 3-5 Years of experience with development (Java, Angular, JSP, Oracle SQL/MS SQL, Kubernetes, API Gateways) and extensive experience in building and managing APIs, MicroServices, and Relational/Non-Relational DBs.

- Proven success in building and managing high-performing global teams.

- Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern DevOps practices.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions.

- Strong track record of delivering complex enterprise systems in production environments.

- Deep expertise in microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

- Strong experience with K8S, Java, Python, SQL, Splunk, and Grafana.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/GitHub), observability, and operational tooling.

- Experience designing high-resilience systems and backend platforms supporting Supply Chain applications.

- Exposure to AI/ML system and AI agent integration is a strong plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

- Lead and manage a team of software engineers focused on Oracle ERP and supply chain platform development, integration, and operations.

- Hire, onboard, coach, and retain engineers; conduct regular 1 : 1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations.

- Partner with product managers and architects to translate business requirements into engineering plans with clear milestones and delivery commitments.

- Drive day-to-day execution across sprints, ensuring the team meets quality, velocity, and reliability goals.

- Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and escalate risks to keep projects on track.

- Foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture that values continuous learning, psychological safety, and engineering best practices.

- Contribute to architecture and design reviews, providing technical judgment while empowering engineers to make decisions.

- Define and track team health metrics including code quality, test coverage, incident response, and deployment frequency.

- Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, and operations business partners to align technical delivery with operational priorities.

- Support release planning, capacity planning, and production readiness across Oracle ERP and supply chain workstreams.

- Champion the integration of AI-assisted tooling and intelligent automation to improve team productivity and operational efficiency.

- Drive continuous improvement through automation, engineering retrospectives, and process modernization.

- Maintain sufficient technical depth to evaluate engineering designs, participate in code and architecture reviews, and guide technical decisions.

- Champion microservices, cloud-native architecture, containerization, and DevOps best practices within the team.

- Ensure observability, monitoring, logging, and performance engineering are embedded into team deliverables.

- Define integration strategies across Oracle ERP modules, supply chain systems, and distributed enterprise services.

- Ensure engineering teams follow architecture standards and participate in cross-team governance forums.

- Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and modern software delivery practices.

- Support the team in designing highly available, resilient systems supporting zero-downtime deployments and disaster recovery.

- Partner with Cloud, Security, and Platform Engineering teams to ensure scalable, highly available infrastructure.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

- 5+ years of software engineering experience with 1+ years in an engineering lead or people management role.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP, Oracle SCM Cloud, or similar enterprise platforms.

- Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain software engineers in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience delivering complex enterprise software integrations using APIs, event-driven architecture, and messaging platforms.

- Strong experience collaborating across cross-functional teams including product, architecture, and business stakeholders.

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.

- Experience modernizing legacy ERP and supply chain platforms into cloud-native architectures.

- Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM), or Oracle Cloud applications.

- Experience implementing AI-enabled business capabilities and intelligent automation.

- Experience within telecommunications, retail, or other industries with complex supply chain operations.

- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, Oracle Cloud, Azure, AWS, or equivalent.

- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP and supply chain platform architecture, configuration, and integrations.

- Understanding of supply chain operations, procurement workflows, inventory management, and order-to-cash cycles.

- Knowledge of enterprise compliance requirements, data governance, auditability, and secure system design.

Enterprise Architecture :

- Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, API architecture, and event-driven integration patterns.

- Understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, OCI), and Infrastructure as Code.

- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle Database, SQL, and NoSQL technologies.

- Experience designing integrations using messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Cloud & DevOps :

- Strong people management skills including coaching, performance management, and talent development.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, DevOps automation, and modern software delivery practices.

- Knowledge of observability platforms including Splunk, Grafana, AppDynamics, and OpenTelemetry.

Leadership & Communication :

- Clear communicator able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and business partners.

- Ability to build trust and psychological safety within engineering teams.

- Strong analytical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
