Software Engineering Lead

We are seeking a Software Engineer Lead to guide and mentor a team of engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This role involves hands-on development, technical leadership, and driving continuous improvement across engineering processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the end-to-end software development lifecycle and ensure operational excellence within the team.

- Build, coach, and nurture a high-performing engineering team through mentoring, goal setting, and regular feedback.

- Collaborate closely with Product Management to align team objectives with business and customer needs.

- Provide technical direction and input across SDLC activities such as planning, estimation, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.

- Drive solution design, architecture reviews, and continuous code quality improvement.

- Identify and propose initiatives to improve performance, reduce technical debt, and enhance system security.

- Contribute to hands-on software design and development while supporting team members technically.

- Champion best practices, efficient tooling, and agile processes to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and managing high-performing software development teams.

- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Design, Enterprise Databases, Java or .NET, GIT, and Web Services.

- Exposure to AWS, CRM systems, and the Utilities industry is advantageous.

- Excellent understanding of software architecture, system design, and agile development methodologies.

- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and inspire others.
