Job Description

Role Title : Lead I - Software Engineering

Location : Trivandrum

Experience Required : 6+ years (with proven experience in a lead backend development role)

Notice Period : Immediate to 30 days (Mandatory)

Job Stability : Must be stable across past roles

Must-Have Skills :

- Node.js

- TypeScript

- AWS (Cloud infrastructure)

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead backend development using Node.js and TypeScript in a cloud-native environment (AWS).

- Own the design, development, testing, and deployment of backend services.

- Architect scalable and secure REST or GraphQL APIs.

- Guide and mentor the development team on design patterns, modular architecture, and code best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product).

- Handle code reviews, bug triaging, and release management.

- Participate in customer calls and clarify technical requirements.

- Estimate efforts, define delivery timelines, and ensure on-time delivery.

Key Skill Expectations :

- Strong fundamentals in design patterns, layered architecture, closures, and encryption.

- Deep experience with RESTful APIs / GraphQL.

- Strong understanding of cloud services on AWS (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2).

- Solid debugging and performance optimization skills.

- Leadership capability to mentor, motivate, and review junior team members.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.

- Agile development experience (Scrum/Kanban).

Soft Skills :

- Strong communication and leadership.

- Analytical thinking and proactive problem-solving.

- High ownership and accountability.

- Ability to represent the team in technical discussions with stakeholders.

Nice to Have (Optional) :

- Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD practices.

- Experience with database design (SQL/NoSQL).

- Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
