Role Overview :

We are looking for a veteran backend engineer who has operated at scale in top-tier product companies and is ready to take on a high-stakes leadership role. As an SDE-3, you will serve as a technical pillar and the primary guardian of engineering quality at PlatinumRx. You will be responsible for the architectural integrity of our platform and the professional growth of the engineers around you.

Responsibilities :

- Lead the evolution of our backend to handle 10x traffic growth, focusing on distributed systems, data consistency, and low-latency response times.

- Lead the creation and execution of complex, cross-functional Technical Design Documents for major product milestones.

- Lead and participate in Technical Spec authored by other engineers, providing critical feedback to ensure high-level alignment and system integrity.

- Own the "uptime" of our platform by implementing advanced monitoring, automated failovers, and robust disaster recovery strategies.

- Actively coach SDE-1s and SDE-2s, fostering a culture of technical excellence and "ownership" within the team.

- Ensure backend architecture meets industry data security and privacy standards

Requirements :

- 5+ years of experience at high-growth product companies (Tier-1 startups or Big Tech) with a focus on high-scale backend systems.

- Deep experience with databases (PostgreSQL), caching (Redis), and message brokers (SQS/RabbitMQ).

- Ability to design complex systems from scratch and defend architectural choices in front of executive leadership.

- Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes (K8s), and Docker.

- Experience building and optimizing CI/CD deployment pipelines.

- Experience setting up observability frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or New Relic).

- Experience leading a team of engineers and the confidence to take charge of technical delivery in the

absence of the Engineering Manager.

- Good to have experience setting up and managing large-scale data pipelines, specifically using ClickHouse or equivalent high-concurrency data stores.
