Software Development Engineer III - Backend Technologies

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer (SDE III) to join our fast-growing engineering team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Java and backend architecture, with a strong track record of building scalable and high-performance systems.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java (Spring Boot).

- Lead and contribute to the system architecture and technical design discussions.

- Optimize application performance and scalability.

- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams.

- Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews.

- Work in an agile environment and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving engineering best practices.

Requirements :

- Key Skills : Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), CI/CD.

- 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in backend development.

- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework.

- Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ).

- Proficient in working with relational and NoSQL databases (e. g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Experience with Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in system design and handling large-scale distributed systems.

- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e. g., Prometheus, ELK stack, Grafana).

- Contributions to open-source or personal GitHub projects.

- Knowledge of performance testing and optimization techniques.
