Software Development Engineer II - Python/Ruby on Rails

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- System Design & Development : Architect and build resilient, scalable platform primitives, APIs, and distributed systems.

- Code Quality : Write clean, efficient, maintainable code, focusing on both high-level (architecture, scaling) and low-level (OOP, design patterns) design.

- Technical Leadership : Mentor junior engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive feature implementation.

- Collaboration : Work with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to deliver quality features.

- Performance & Reliability : Ensure high performance, reliability, and observability of backend services.

Key Technologies & Skills :

- Languages/Frameworks : Python (Django/Flask) or Ruby on Rails (ROR), Node js, Golang

- Databases : Relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) & In-memory (Redis, Memcached).

- API Management : REST APIs, best practices for API management.

- Concepts : High-level (Scaling, Load Balancing, Caching, Hashing) & Low-level

Experience :

- Proven success in building large-scale, high-throughput distributed systems.

- Experience in web-scale backend applications, ideally with 2+ years.
