As a Backend Developer, you will own the development and scaling of our backend platforms and micro-services. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and architects to deliver robust, high-performing, and delightful experiences to our users. This role requires deep ownership, strong technical judgment, and a passion for building world-class consumer-facing server systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and micro-services architecture.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and APIs.

- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code adhering to best practices.

- Optimize system performance, ensuring efficient queries and responsive APIs.

- Build RESTful APIs, manage SQL databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and leverage Redis for caching and performance.

- Work with the frontend and mobile teams to shape contracts for APIs and data flow.

- Debug, monitor, and troubleshoot backend performance issues.

- Stay updated with backend, Java/Spring Boot, and cloud ecosystem trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3- 6 years of experience in backend/system development.

- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring JPA

- Solid understanding of micro-service architecture and its design patterns

- Understanding of containterization and orchestration tools like Docker, AWS ECS etc.

- Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL RDBMS design, performance tuning, SQL).

- Practical experience with Redis for caching and data structure handling.

- Expertise in designing and integrating RESTful APIs in scalable systems.

- Solid understanding of version control (Git) and code quality practices.

- Good debugging skills and a disciplined approach to testing and system monitoring.

Good to Have :

- Experience in consumer-facing digital products, fintech, or insurance platforms.

- Familiarity with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, etc.).

- Working knowledge of GCP

- Experience with asynchronous/event-driven architectures (Kafka/RabbitMQ/SQS).

- SDE-2/3 - Java, Spring Boot 2

- Exposure to infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.

- Awareness of security, scalability, and system reliability best practices.
