About the Role :

Were looking for a Backend Engineer (SDE 1) with a strong foundation in Java to join our growing backend team. This role is ideal for engineers with 1+ year of experience who are curious, driven, and eager to work on complex, high-scale systems from day one.

You will contribute to the development of secure, scalable backend services while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Expect strong mentorship, fast learning, and meaningful impact.

What You'll Do :

- Write clean, testable, and efficient code in Java (Spring Boot).

- Collaborate with senior engineers to build and maintain backend microservices APIs, and platform enhancements.

- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and product grooming.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production and staging under guidance.

- Contribute to internal tools, platform improvements, and documentation.

- Learn and apply best practices in security, scalability, and cloud-first development.

What We're Looking For :

- 1+ year of experience in backend development (internships or full-time).

- Strong foundation in Java and backend fundamentals (OOPs, REST, DBs).

- Familiarity with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and RDBMS (PostgreSQL preferred).

- Good understanding of version control (Git), basic CI/CD, and debugging practices.

- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Clear communication, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn and grow in a product-focused environment.

Nice to Have :

- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) or CI/CD tools.

- Past experience in fintech, SaaS, or working on APIs/platforms.

- Side projects, open-source contributions, or coding competition participation.

- Exposure to distributed systems or microservices architecture.
