Software Developer - Native Cloud Infrastructure

Job Role : Software Developer JS 4/5

Cloud Native Infrastructure (CNIS) & CCD :

- End-to-end administration and operations of Ericsson CNIS platforms including Kubernetes, container runtimes, and cloud-native infrastructure components.

- Manage and optimize Ericsson Cloud Container Distribution (CCD), covering provisioning, upgrades, backup/restore, lifecycle management, and disaster recovery readiness.

- Perform CCD health checks, configuration drift analysis, capacity tracking, and environment validation across clusters.

- Work closely with app and platform teams to onboard workloads and provide CCD-level support.

- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices using Ansible for automation of CNIS/CCD tasks.

- Monitor system performance and availability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and other tools

- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational policies.

- Participate in and lead DR planning, execution, and RCA of major incidents.

- Maintain detailed runbooks, MOPs, and CNIS documentation for operational readiness.

SDI (Software Defined Infrastructure) Administration :

- Administer SDI components including SDN Calico, Multus, CNI plugins, SDS : Ceph, CSI drivers, Compute Host-level cluster configuration and integration

- Monitor SDI health and performance, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure seamless integration with CNIS layers.

- Understanding of SDN concepts, service chaining, and programmable infrastructure.

- Good troubleshooting experience with CNIS components

Enterprise Networking :

- Strong hands-on experience with Juniper and Extreme Networks switches

- Understanding of SDN and integration with container networking layers (e.g., Calico).

- Familiarity with traffic filtering, isolation, and multi-tenant CNIS network architecture.

- Switch boot process, firmware upgrades, backup/restore,Border leaf switch management and troubleshooting

- Configuration of VLANs, trunking, port profiles (access/trunk), and ACLs

- Performance analysis, component replacement, switch stacking, and chassis management

Linux System Administration :

- Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration and troubleshooting.

- Experience with :

a. Cluster-level configurations

b. LVM management

c. Multipathing (MPIO) setup and troubleshooting

d. Patch management, firmware upgrades, and OS-level tuning

e. Scheduling and validating backups/recoveries

- Performance troubleshooting, kernel-level analysis, and log auditing.

- Hands-on with SAN topology, host-side storage integration, and network storage troubleshooting.

- Hardware troubleshooting experience on HP ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge servers.

Process & Compliance :

- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management.

- Ability to lead root cause analysis for major CNIS/network/infra incidents.

Certifications Preferred :

- CKA / CKAD / CKS Kubernetes certifications

- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA/RHCE)

- Networking certifications (Juniper/Extreme/SDN)

- ITIL Foundation (preferred in process-driven environments)
