Job Summary :

We are looking for a skilled and versatile Backend Engineer with strong experience in Node.js, GraphQL, Java, and Python to build and support scalable backend systems and integrations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a cloud-native environment (preferably GCP), designing APIs, and developing high-performance distributed systems.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable backend solutions that support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js

- Develop and optimize GraphQL APIs for high-performance applications

- Build and maintain backend services using Java and Python where required

- Design robust and reusable APIs for system integrations

- Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems

- Write clean, modular, and maintainable code following best practices

- Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards are followed

- Create and maintain technical documentation

- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps teams, and product managers

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

- Continuously improve system architecture and performance

- Implement security and data protection best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 57+ years of backend development experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js

- Solid experience in GraphQL API design and development

- Proficiency in Java and/or Python

- Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems

- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)

- Good understanding of databases (SQL/NoSQL)

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :

- Experience working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines

- Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, Pub/Sub, RabbitMQ)

- Familiarity with monitoring tools and logging frameworks

- Understanding of serverless architecture

- Experience in high-traffic production systems
