Job Description

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced SOC Specialist I to join our Global Cyber Security Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Security Operations Center (SOC) monitoring, incident response, threat hunting, SIEM technologies, and security investigations. This role requires excellent analytical skills and Native Japanese or strong bilingual (Japanese-English) communication skills to collaborate with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents as part of a Global Security Operations Center (SOC).

- Investigate security alerts, perform triage, and lead incident response activities.

- Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify malicious activities across enterprise environments.

- Analyze Indicators of Compromise (IOCs), Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs), and attacker Tools, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).

- Perform security monitoring, SIEM analysis, system log analysis, and network traffic analysis.

- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SIEM solutions and data source connectivity issues.

- Develop and maintain SOC documentation including runbooks, playbooks, and operational procedures.

- Perform root cause analysis and post-incident reviews, providing recommendations for remediation.

- Escalate critical incidents appropriately while ensuring timely communication and reporting.

- Collaborate with cross-functional security teams to strengthen detection and response capabilities.

- Continuously improve SOC processes, detection use cases, and incident handling procedures.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5-7 years of experience in Cyber Security with at least 5+ years as a Senior SOC Analyst, preferably in an L3 SOC Analyst role.

- Experience working in a Global Security Operations Center (SOC).

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel (Preferred).

- Experience with SIEM platforms such as QRadar and ArcSight.

- Strong expertise in Incident Response and Security Operations.

- Experience in Threat Hunting methodologies.

- Strong knowledge of IOC, APT, TTP analysis, and cyber threat investigations.

- Experience in security monitoring, SIEM monitoring, log analysis, and network traffic analysis.

- Ability to investigate, resolve, escalate, and recommend remediation for security incidents.

- Experience configuring SIEM solutions and resolving connectivity issues.

- Experience documenting security procedures, runbooks, and playbooks.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Native Japanese or strong bilingual (Japanese-English) communication skills are mandatory.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel deployments and optimization.

- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework.

- Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools.

- Relevant security certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, CISSP, CEH, or Microsoft Security certifications are a plus.
