Role Overview :
As a SOC Analyst, you will serve as a frontline defender within our Security Operations Center, tasked with the continuous monitoring, detection, and mitigation of sophisticated cyber threats. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams, incident response units, and senior stakeholders to ensure the integrity of our digital infrastructure.
By proactively identifying vulnerabilities and managing security incidents in real-time, you play a critical role in safeguarding our business operations, protecting sensitive customer data, and maintaining the overall security posture of the organization across our metro locations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Monitor SIEM dashboards and security analytics platforms to identify and investigate anomalous activities, ensuring rapid response to potential security breaches.
- Execute end-to-end incident management workflows, from initial triage and containment to root cause analysis and post-incident reporting, to minimize operational downtime.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments across network and application layers to proactively identify security gaps and recommend remediation strategies.
- Manage and fine-tune firewall configurations and network security policies to align with evolving threat landscapes and organizational security standards.
- Perform deep-dive troubleshooting on Linux-based systems and security appliances to resolve complex technical issues and ensure system hardening.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate security risks effectively and drive the implementation of robust defensive measures.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in managing SIEM platforms and interpreting security analytics to drive actionable threat intelligence.
- Proven ability to perform comprehensive vulnerability assessments and translate findings into technical remediation plans for diverse infrastructure environments.
- Strong proficiency in Linux administration and network security protocols, with a track record of troubleshooting complex security incidents under pressure.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical security concepts clearly to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment, balancing independent technical tasks with collaborative team objectives.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, complemented by relevant industry certifications in cybersecurity.
- Candidates must possess 4 to 9 years of hands-on experience in security operations, demonstrating a consistent history of managing enterprise-level threats.
