Role Overview:
As a Snowflake Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and maintaining robust data pipelines and cloud-based warehouse solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional data engineering teams and business stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into high-performance, scalable Snowflake environments. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency of data delivery, ensuring that our clients have reliable, real-time access to critical business insights that drive their strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement end-to-end data ingestion and transformation workflows using Snowflake and dbt to support complex analytical requirements.
- Develop and optimize sophisticated SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure high performance and cost-efficiency within the Snowflake environment.
- Automate and orchestrate data pipeline scheduling and monitoring using Apache Airflow to maintain high data availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to refine data models and ensure alignment with organizational reporting needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks within the data ecosystem to maintain seamless operations for end-users.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and schema management across cloud data platforms.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing Snowflake data warehouses, including performance tuning and resource monitoring.
- Proficiency in building modular and scalable data transformations using Data Build Tool (dbt).
- Advanced capability in writing complex SQL and Python scripts to manipulate large datasets and automate data processing tasks.
- Proven experience in managing workflow orchestration and task scheduling using Apache Airflow.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate technical data solutions to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a distributed work environment, maintaining high productivity and collaboration across Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, or remote setups.
- Possession of 5 to 12 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering and cloud analytics.
