Description :
- We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to design, develop, and optimize scalable cloud data solutions using the Snowflake data platform.
- The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, hands-on experience with data ingestion and transformation, and the ability to work in a customer-facing environment to deliver high-quality analytics and reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and loading into Snowflake.
- Design and implement optimized SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support analytics and reporting use cases.
- Integrate Snowflake with multiple data sources, including on-prem databases, APIs, and cloud storage platforms such as AWS S3 and Azure Data Lake.
- Implement and manage Snowflake features such as Stages, Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel for efficient ELT workflows.
- Apply performance tuning and cost optimization techniques for virtual warehouses.
- Implement security best practices, including RBAC, data masking, encryption, and compliance controls.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, transformations, and query performance.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for solutions, deployments, and enhancements.
- Stay current with Snowflake platform enhancements and best practices to continuously improve solution capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 5-10 years of experience developing and implementing data solutions using Snowflake.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT development using Snowflake capabilities :
1. Stages
2. Streams
3. Tasks
- Solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, including :
1. Virtual Warehouses
2. Micro-partitions
3. Time Travel
4. Data Sharing
- Experience integrating Snowflake with :
1. On-prem databases
2. REST APIs
3. Cloud storage platforms (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake)
- Knowledge of performance optimization and cost management strategies in Snowflake.
- Exposure to Python or other scripting languages for automation and orchestration.
- Strong understanding of Snowflake security, including RBAC, masking policies, encryption, and compliance standards.
- Experience working in a customer-facing role with strong communication and presentation skills.
