Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Developer with strong expertise in Advanced SQL, AWS Glue, PySpark, Data Pipelines, Data Modeling, and CI/CD. The candidate will work on cloud-based data engineering solutions and should have strong communication skills as this is a client-facing role.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using AWS Glue.
- Work with Apache Iceberg tables, including schema evolution, compaction, metadata management, and time travel.
- Configure and manage Snowflake External Tables for Apache Iceberg integration.
- Develop complex SQL queries using CTEs, Window Functions, and advanced SQL techniques.
- Design and implement Data Models, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
- Configure Snowflake external stages and file formats with cloud storage such as AWS S3.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Automate Snowflake database object deployments and data pipeline implementations through Git-based workflows.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines using CloudWatch logs and other monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with clients and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
Required Technical Skills :
- Snowflake : Advanced SQL, External Tables, External Stages, File Formats.
- AWS : AWS Glue, S3, CloudWatch.
- Programming : Python, PySpark, Spark SQL.
- Apache Iceberg : Table management, metadata, schema evolution, and Spark integration.
- Data Engineering : ETL/ELT, Data Pipelines, Data Modeling.
- CI/CD : GitHub Actions and Git-based deployment workflows.
- Strong understanding of Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Candidate Profile :
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Snowflake/Data Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, AWS Glue, PySpark, and Advanced SQL.
- Experience working on cloud-based data pipelines and data modeling.
- Good understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
