Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake / SQL Developer with 610 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT development, and cloud-based data platforms.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and Advanced SQL, with experience in developing scalable data warehouse solutions, building ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing queries, implementing data security, and supporting analytics and reporting requirements.
Experience with AWS and Python is preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Snowflake data warehouse solutions.
- Develop complex and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and data transformations.
- Work extensively with Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, stages, warehouses, and file formats.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for batch and incremental data processing.
- Implement and manage Snowflake Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe.
- Perform SQL and Snowflake query optimization and performance tuning.
- Implement data loading, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Design and maintain data models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, fact and dimension tables.
- Implement appropriate Snowflake security, RBAC, and access controls.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline failures and performance issues.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Follow Git, CI/CD, Agile, and DevOps practices.
- Develop Python scripts for automation and data processing where required.
- Work with AWS services such as S3, Glue, IAM, and Lambda where applicable.
- Prepare technical documentation and participate in knowledge-sharing activities.
Required Skills :
- 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL, or Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Excellent proficiency in Advanced SQL.
- Strong knowledge of complex joins, CTEs, subqueries, window functions, stored procedures, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Streams, Tasks, Snowpipe, stages, and file formats.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline development.
- Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
- Knowledge of batch, incremental, and CDC-based data ingestion.
- Understanding of Snowflake security and RBAC.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have :
- Python scripting and automation experience.
- AWS experience (S3, Glue, IAM, Lambda).
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Informatica, Matillion, Talend, dbt, or AWS Glue.
- SnowPro Core or SnowPro Advanced certification.
- Experience working in the Healthcare domain.
Education:
Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
