Role Overview :
As a Snowflake Developer, you will serve as a technical lead responsible for architecting and optimizing robust data pipelines within the Snowflake ecosystem.
You will collaborate closely with data architects, business analysts, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performance data models.
Your work will directly influence the efficiency of data delivery, ensuring that stakeholders have reliable, secure, and real-time access to critical business insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement scalable data ingestion frameworks using Snowpipe to ensure seamless data flow from diverse sources into the Snowflake data warehouse.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL scripts and stored procedures to transform raw data into structured, analytical-ready formats.
- Orchestrate end-to-end ETL/ELT processes using Data Build Tool (dbt) to ensure data quality, consistency, and modularity across the enterprise.
- Configure and manage granular RBAC policies to ensure data security and compliance across different organizational departments.
- Optimize query performance and warehouse utilization by leveraging Snowsql and advanced Snowflake performance tuning techniques.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards and best practices within the data team.
Required Skillset :
- Possess 7 to 12 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a deep specialization in the Snowflake cloud data platform.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing database performance for large-scale datasets.
- Exhibit hands-on expertise in building automated data pipelines using Snowpipe and managing transformation logic via Data Build Tool (dbt).
- Maintain a strong understanding of security architecture, specifically in implementing RBAC and data governance frameworks within cloud environments.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Adapt seamlessly to a collaborative, high-paced environment in Bangalore, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple project streams independently.
- Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
