Role Overview :
As a Snowflake Database Developer, you will be at the heart of our data engineering initiatives, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional data architects, business analysts, and IT stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. Your work will directly influence the efficiency of our global data infrastructure, ensuring high performance, data integrity, and seamless accessibility for end-users across the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement robust data models and schemas within Snowflake to support complex analytical requirements and reporting needs.
- Develop and optimize high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL to streamline data ingestion from disparate source systems into the data warehouse.
- Manage database performance by monitoring query execution, optimizing storage costs, and implementing effective partitioning and clustering strategies.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to establish best practices for data governance, security, and quality assurance to ensure reliable information delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data integration issues to minimize downtime and maintain the continuity of critical business intelligence operations.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in architecting and managing large-scale data warehousing solutions specifically within the Snowflake ecosystem.
- Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures for data manipulation and performance tuning.
- Strong programming capabilities in Python for automating data workflows and integrating with cloud-based data services.
- Proven ability to communicate technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a collaborative environment across global teams.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field, supported by 4 to 8 years of relevant professional experience.
- Adaptability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, maintaining high productivity and clear communication across distributed project teams.
