About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, and Data Build Tool (dbt) to design, develop, and optimize modern cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing robust data models, and enabling enterprise-wide analytics through high-quality, governed data solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Snowflake.

- Build and optimize data transformation workflows using dbt (Data Build Tool).

- Analyze complex datasets and convert raw data into actionable business insights.

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, reporting datasets, and analytics solutions within Snowflake.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, architects, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver robust data solutions.

- Implement Data Mesh principles, reusable Data Products, and integrate with external data marketplaces where required.

- Ensure data quality, consistency, governance, and integrity across multiple enterprise data sources.

- Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, warehouse optimization, clustering, and cost management.

- Develop and maintain data ingestion frameworks supporting structured and semi-structured data.

- Troubleshoot production data issues, monitor pipeline performance, and implement continuous improvements.

- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile development activities.

- Create and maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and deployment procedures.

- Stay current with emerging Snowflake capabilities, Azure data services, and modern data engineering best practices.

Required Skills :

Mandatory Skills :

- 6-8 years of experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Data Platform development.

- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.

- Expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) for building and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines.

- Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.

- Strong SQL programming and query optimization skills.

- Experience designing dimensional data models, star schemas, and enterprise data warehouses.

- Knowledge of Data Mesh architecture, Data Products, and enterprise data governance.

- Experience integrating multiple data sources, APIs, and cloud storage solutions.

- Strong understanding of data quality, validation, metadata management, and data lineage.

- Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.

- Knowledge of Python or PySpark for advanced data processing.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools.

- Understanding of cloud security, data governance, and monitoring frameworks.

- Experience working with enterprise-scale cloud migration or modernization projects.
