Role Overview :

As the Director of Engineering based in Gurugram, you will serve as the primary technical leader responsible for shaping the architectural vision and operational excellence of our core product platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional product managers, design teams, and executive stakeholders to translate complex business objectives into scalable, high-performance software solutions. By fostering a culture of engineering rigor and innovation, you will directly influence the end-user experience, ensuring our systems remain resilient, secure, and capable of supporting rapid business growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the development of robust, high-traffic applications using Node.js and AngularJS to ensure seamless performance and scalability for our global user base.

- Mentor and lead high-performing engineering teams by promoting best practices in code quality, automated testing, and agile delivery to accelerate time-to-market.

- Collaborate with product leadership to define the technical roadmap, ensuring that engineering efforts are perfectly aligned with long-term business goals and customer requirements.

- Drive the modernization of legacy systems and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.

- Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and talent acquisition strategies to build a sustainable and high-impact engineering organization.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying complex, distributed systems using Node.js and AngularJS within large-scale enterprise environments.

- Proven ability to bridge the gap between technical complexity and business strategy, communicating effectively with non-technical stakeholders to secure buy-in for major initiatives.

- Strong track record of building, scaling, and retaining high-caliber engineering teams through effective mentorship and performance management.

- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making and a pragmatic approach to technical debt and system optimization.

- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, combined with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid work environment in Gurugram.

- 10 - 14 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a significant portion spent in leadership roles overseeing multi-disciplinary teams.
