Role & responsibilities :
- Lead enterprise-wide Data Privacy, Data Protection, and Privacy Governance initiatives.
- Drive DPDP Act readiness and ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection laws.
- Establish and mature privacy governance frameworks covering the entire data lifecycle, from collection and consent to retention and deletion.
- Design and operationalize processes for consent management, privacy notices, and Data Principal Rights.
- Lead privacy risk management, privacy impact assessments, breach response, incident management, and regulatory reporting.
- Embed Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles across business processes, products, and technology platforms.
- Strengthen third-party, vendor, and partner privacy governance, ensuring effective oversight and risk management.
- Drive privacy assurance through audits, control assessments, compliance reviews, and executive/Board reporting.
- Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Information Security, Technology, and Business teams to integrate privacy controls into enterprise operations.
Preferred candidate profile :
- 14+ years of experience of which at least 4 in privacy, data governance, or regulatory compliance within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of DPDP Act, GDPR, data governance, consent management, and privacy risk frameworks.
- Experience with privacy audits, regulatory interactions, and incident management.
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27701, or ISO 27001 preferred.
