Job Description - Senior Tech Leadership Opportunity

Function : Information Technology

Location : Mumbai

Objective :

To lead the organisations technology and digital agenda, including modernisation of core lending platforms, adoption of AI/ML-led decisioning, and deployment of scalable, secure systems suited for affordable housing finance across Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. The role will also actively engage with the Board/ Committees on technology strategy, risk, and investments.

Key Result Areas :

1. Technology Strategy, Governance & Board Engagement :

- Define and execute the enterprise-wide technology roadmap aligned with business strategy

- Present periodic updates to the Board / IT Strategy Committee on technology initiatives, risks, cybersecurity posture, and investment priorities

- Support Board-level discussions on digital strategy, AI adoption, and regulatory expectations

- Establish strong IT governance, policies, and frameworks in line with RBI / NHB guidelines

2. Digital Transformation & Customer Journeys :

- Drive end-to-end digitisation of customer lifecycle (onboarding to closure) across assisted and self-service channels

- Lead implementation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of LOS and LMS platforms

- Ensure deep integrations with credit bureaus, KYC, payment systems, and fintech partners

- Enable straight-through processing (STP) across sourcing, underwriting, disbursement, servicing, and collections

- Build mobile-first and vernacular-friendly solutions for Tier 2 / Tier 3 markets

- Enhance customer and field productivity through automation and intuitive interfaces

3. AI, ML & Advanced Analytics :

- Design and deploy AI/ML models for credit underwriting, fraud detection, early warning signals, and collections prioritisation

- Leverage alternative data for thin-file customer segments typical in affordable housing

- Implement intelligent automation (OCR, document processing, chatbots, voice bots)

- Build scalable data platforms to support predictive and prescriptive analytics

4. IT Infrastructure, Cloud & Modern Architecture :

- Define cloud strategy (public / private / hybrid) ensuring scalability and cost optimisation

- Drive API-first, micro services-based architecture for flexibility and faster integrations

- Ensure high system availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness

5. Information Security & Regulatory Compliance :

- Strengthen cybersecurity framework including threat monitoring, incident response, and data protection

- Ensure compliance with RBI digital lending guidelines, IT framework for HFCs, and data privacy requirements

- Conduct periodic security audits, VAPT, and BCP/DR drills

6. Data, MIS & Decision Support :

- Establish enterprise data governance and single source of truth

- Build real-time MIS, dashboards, and analytics for business, risk, and finance teams

- Enable data-driven decision making across the organisation

7. Vendor Ecosystem & Partnerships :

- Manage relationships with LOS/LMS providers, fintechs, cloud partners, and system integrators

- Evaluate and onboard new-age technology partners in AI, analytics, and digital onboarding

- Ensure commercial discipline, SLA adherence, and scalability

8. Team Leadership & Execution :

- Build and lead a high-quality technology, data, and digital team

- Drive structured program management, agile delivery, and strong execution discipline

- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement

Required Skills :

Technical Expertise :

- Strong understanding of lending technology architecture, APIs, cloud, and cybersecurity

- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML use cases in financial services

- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to HFCs

Qualification :

- B.E./B.Tech

Experience :

- 15-20 years in technology leadership roles in an Microlap companies, HFCs, NBFCs

- Proven experience in implementing LOS/LMS and driving digital transformation at scale

- Experience in engaging with Boards / senior committees on technology and risk matters
