Senior Technical Architect CoE Engineering Team

Job Responsibilities :


- Develop comprehensive architecture designs, considering both functional and non-functional requirements, for development projects.

- Assess and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks and tools to meet project objectives and ensure scalability, performance, and security.

- Design and review the technical architecture of new projects and recommend improvements to the existing technical architecture to ensure successful project delivery.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, IT Project Managers, Vendor partners and other stakeholders to understand the business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Provide technical guidance to development and BAU teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and apply them to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.

- Create and maintain architectural and design artefacts to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system maintainability.

- Anticipating the technology risks and ensuring to have the contingency plans in place, Suggesting improvements to the existing landscape.

- Works collaboratively with other Technology teams that take care of Infrastructure, Applications and Data, to ensure we work towards a common goal to meet customers and Business satisfaction.

- Architecture & solution design ownership, Team leadership / mentoring.

- Stakeholder management, Delivery accountability, Governance & decision-making.

Work Experience :


- Experience in Insurance Domain IT systems, process is key.

- Minimum 5 years in a technical architect role.

- Hands-on experience and proven track record of designing and implementing scalable, high-performance software architectures for enterprise-level applications and not just specific to a project.

- Extensive experience working with a variety of programming languages, frameworks and preferably on Open-Source tech stack.

- Created Deployment architectures in a hybrid (Cloud + On Premise) environment.

- Built new solutions that are security compliant and fixed security vulnerabilities in the existing systems.

- Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and services, such as Google Cloud, AWS or Azure.

- Experience of building and enhancing DevSecOps pipeline.

- Experience of building the automated testing frameworks as part of the Unit Testing and System Testing as part of the DevOps pipeline or manual deployments.

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams to deliver successful projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications : Graduation / Postgraduation (Engineering, IT, CS) Tier 1 Preferred.

Certifications :


TOGAF 9 Foundation + Practitioner (or latest TOGAF Standard certification), Google Professional Cloud Architect, API & Integration Certifications (MuleSoft, OpenAPI), SAFe Architect / SAFe Agilist.

- Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing complex IT solutions that meet business objectives.

- Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across all levels.

- A passion for technology and a commitment to continuous learning.

- Life insurance processes knowledge would be an added advantage.

Quantitative :

- Experience as a Full stack developer at least for 5 years and then performing the role of a Technical Lead.

- At least 5 years of experience in a technical architect role.

- Successful delivery of multiple large-scale software projects.

- Estimating the infrastructure resources (storage, licenses) needed for complex solutions and ensuring they stay within budget constraints.

- Positive feedback from team members and stakeholders on leadership and technical guidance.
