Job Description :
We are looking for a Senior System Design Engineer with 7 to 10 years of experience in Automotive Telematics and System Engineering. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in requirements engineering, API development, diagnostics, embedded systems, and cloud integration, with hands-on exposure to automotive communication protocols and validation tools.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define system requirements, technical specifications, and system-level architecture for automotive telematics solutions.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into clear system requirements and specifications.
- Design, develop, and validate APIs for automotive telematics systems using YAML, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman.
- Perform API testing, debugging, and validation across system and cloud interfaces.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics and communication testing using CANoe.
- Work with automotive diagnostic protocols including UDS and J1939.
- Support integration of embedded telematics systems with cloud platforms and connected-vehicle services.
- Develop and validate cloud integrations using AWS IoT and related AWS services.
- Collaborate with embedded software, cloud, testing, and system engineering teams to ensure seamless end-to-end integration.
- Troubleshoot system-level issues and support root cause analysis across embedded, API, communication, and cloud components.
- Prepare and maintain system requirements, interface specifications, test documentation, and technical design documents.
- Support system validation and ensure solutions meet functional, performance, and reliability requirements.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Automotive Telematics / Connected Vehicle / System Engineering.
- Strong experience in system requirements engineering and technical specification development.
- Hands-on experience with YAML, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman.
- Strong experience with CANoe for diagnostics and automotive communication testing.
- Good understanding of UDS and J1939 protocols.
- Experience in API design, development, testing, and debugging.
- Experience with cloud integration, preferably AWS IoT.
- Understanding of embedded systems and automotive ECU/telematics architecture.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred :
- Experience with connected-car, telematics control unit (TCU), or automotive IoT solutions.
- Exposure to additional AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience working in Agile development and system validation environments.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.
