Role Overview :
Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Engineer IV Software Customer Engineering with strong expertise in WLAN driver development, C/C++, ARM-based Linux systems, and customer-focused software engineering. The role involves driving customer customization, performance optimization, debugging, and technical coordination across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, debug, and optimize WLAN/Wi-Fi drivers for embedded Linux platforms.
- Provide technical support for customer-specific WLAN customizations across multiple platforms.
- Perform advanced C/C++ debugging, issue analysis, and root-cause identification.
- Work extensively with ARM-based Linux system architecture.
- Analyze and improve system performance, memory utilization, stability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Lead technical discussions with customers and drive issues through to resolution.
- Support platform integration, bring-up, debugging, and software optimization activities.
- Work with OpenWrt build systems, package management, DTS, and kernel integration as an added advantage.
- Leverage knowledge of Qualcomm Wi-Fi chipsets and QSDK-based platforms where applicable.
Required Skills :
- 810 years of strong hands-on experience in WLAN/Wi-Fi driver development.
- Expert-level C / C++ programming and debugging.
- Strong understanding of ARM-based Linux architecture.
- Experience with Linux kernel and embedded systems.
- Proven experience handling customer customization and technical issue resolution.
- Strong knowledge of performance optimization, memory tuning, and stability analysis.
- Excellent cross-team coordination and customer-facing communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Good to Have :
- Hands-on experience with OpenWrt.
- Knowledge of OpenWrt build system, package management, DTS, and kernel integration.
- Prior experience with Qualcomm Wi-Fi chipsets.
- Experience with QSDK-based platforms.
Ideal Candidate :
Candidates who have worked on WLAN driver development for embedded Linux/ARM platforms, particularly with Qualcomm Wi-Fi chipsets/QSDK, and have strong customer-facing engineering experience will be highly preferred.
