Senior Software Engineer II - PHP/Python

Responsibilities :

- Designing and developing scalable backend services and APIs for our form-building products.

- Owning features end-to-end, from architecture planning to implementation, deployment, and monitoring.

- Modernizing legacy PHP systems and ensuring smooth transitions through version changes and dependency upgrades.

- Developing Python-based microservices and integrating them with existing PHP applications.

- Optimizing database performance and ensuring the efficiency of queries and storage mechanisms.

- Working closely with product and frontend teams to build seamless and high-performing user experiences.

- Improving CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment and operational workflows.

- Mentoring and guiding engineers on best practices and contributing to the overall architecture of our platform.

Required Skills :

- 8+ years of professional experience in backend development, specializing in PHP and Python.

- Strong expertise in modernizing and maintaining PHP applications, including WordPress-based and standalone web applications.

- Experience with PHP/Python frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, Codeigniter, Flask, FastAPI, Django).

- Proficiency in RESTful API design and working with API integrations.

- Solid experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for scalable application deployments.

- Experience implementing testing frameworks for backend services (PHPUnit, PyTest, etc.).

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot legacy systems.

- Interest in collaborating across teams, mentoring junior engineers, and driving technical excellence
