We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) with a strong foundation in scalable backend systems, API design, and modern cloud architectures. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced product environment, loves solving hard technical problems, and has a builder's mindset ideal for IIT alumni or ex-founders who want to make direct product impact.

Responsibilities :

- Design, build, and optimise scalable backend systems and APIs for web and Android platforms.

- Own end-to-end development of key product features, planning, design, implementation, and deployment.

- Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to ensure seamless user experiences.

- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring high system reliability and uptime.

- Uphold coding best practices, including clean architecture, testing, and documentation.

- Continuously improve development, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

- Contribute to architectural discussions and drive technology decisions.

Requirements :

- 6+ years of hands-on backend development experience, primarily in Node.js (TypeScript preferred).

- B. Tech in Computer Science (or equivalent) from a Tier-1 institute (IITs/NITs/BITS/IIITs) is mandatory.

- Strong foundation in DSA, OOP concepts, and design patterns.

- Deep understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

- Proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.

- Excellent debugging, optimisation, and problem-solving skills.

- An entrepreneurial mindset, prior founder or early-stage startup experience is a strong plus.

- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.

- Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.

- Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services.

- Exposure to NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

- Understanding of test-driven development (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
