Job Title : Senior Software Engineer Android Camera & Cluster Platform
Role Summary :
Own camera features and platform integration on Android-based EV instrument clusters. Build production-grade camera experiences on embedded hardware with strict performance, reliability, and safety constraints.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and ship Android camera applications (Camera2 / CameraX) for clusters.
- Integrate camera workflows (reverse/side view, DVR, alerts) into HMI.
- Work across app, framework, Camera HAL (HAL3), media stack, and BSP.
- Optimize boot time, latency, frame drops, memory, thermal, and power.
- Debug complex issues using adb, logcat, perfetto, systrace.
- Collaborate with BSP, kernel, ISP, and hardware teams for sensor bring-up.
- Handle automotive scenarios : suspend/resume, ignition cycles, long-run stability.
- Support CTS/VTS and production releases.
Required Skills :
- Strong Android platform experience (Java/Kotlin).
- Hands-on Camera2 / CameraX on embedded devices.
- AOSP / Soong / Make build experience.
- Deep debugging and ownership mindset.
Nice to Have :
- Qualcomm camera stack / Camera HAL exposure.
- ISP tuning or sensor bring-up.
- Android Automotive / cluster experience.
- Embedded Linux or kernel familiarity.
Experience : 3 to 5 years
Must-Have :
- Android platform (not just apps)
- Camera2 / CameraX on real devices
- AOSP / Soong / Make experience
- Camera HAL / vendor stack
Strong Signals :
- Embedded / Automotive / Cluster work
- Performance optimization experience
