Senior Python/Django Developer

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python/Django Developer to join our growing engineering team in Ahmedabad.
You will design and build scalable backend solutions, lead development best practices, and contribute to high-performance applications.

The role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the drive to work in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Build and maintain production-grade web applications using Django, Python, and REST APIs.

- Design and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

- Implement secure authentication/authorization flows (OAuth, JWT).

- Apply strong debugging, unit testing, and problem-solving practices.

- Collaborate with teams using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (Docker, AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Ensure backend security, performance tuning, and scalability.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to best practices in coding and architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Core Skills :

- Excellent communication in English, strong teamwork, and commitment to company values.

- 5+ years of backend development experience, with strong focus on Django and Python.

- Deep understanding of Django ORM, Django REST Framework, and API architecture.

- Experience in database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

- Familiarity with Docker, Redis, Celery, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, backend security, and scalability patterns.

Bonus Skills :

- Front-end experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.

- Exposure to microservices, containerization, and cloud-native deployment.

- Hands-on experience in e-commerce, fintech, or SaaS platforms.
