Senior Python Developer - Django

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Django Developer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Django and Python, with a solid background in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Django and Python.

- Create and integrate RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party services.

- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code following best practices.

- Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features.

- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure security and data protection.

- Handle database design, schema migrations, and queries using PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment scripts.

- Maintain proper documentation and technical specifications for projects.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and Django framework.

- Strong understanding of Django ORM, middleware, forms, and templates.

- Experience with REST APIs, Django REST Framework (DRF).

- Good understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).

- Familiarity with Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of security principles and best practices in web development.

- Familiarity with asynchronous programming and Celery for task queues.

- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure is a plus.

- Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
