Senior Python Backend Engineer - Flask/Django

Description :

We are looking for a strong Python Backend Engineer with deep expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and asynchronous workflows.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable, reliable backend systems while maintaining a focus on testing, observability, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using FastAPI, Flask, or Django.

- Build and manage distributed systems and microservices architectures.

- Implement asynchronous workflows using tools like Celery.

- Manage databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL efficiently with a strong understanding of data contracts and idempotency.

- Integrate with Kafka or similar event-streaming systems.

- Implement comprehensive test architectures using PyTest, Hypothesis, and Locust.

- Enhance system reliability and observability through metrics, tracing, and logging.

- Work with Kubernetes, containerized CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Manage security aspects including OAuth2, TLS certificate management, and secure service communications.

- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards such as HITRUST, HIPAA, and FDA 510(k).

- Generate evidence for compliance audits and maintain robust documentation.

Required Skills :

- Strong proficiency in Python with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, and Django.

- Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, and async programming.

- Solid experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Kafka, and Celery.

- Strong understanding of test-driven development and tools (PyTest, Hypothesis, Locust).

- Familiar with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with cloud environments AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of OAuth2, TLS, and secure communication protocols.

- Understanding of compliance frameworks (HITRUST, HIPAA, FDA).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with HL7 or FHIR interfaces message parsing, composition, and secure data exchange in healthcare environments.

- Strong systems mindset treating testing, automation, and monitoring as first-class concerns.
