Senior Product Manager - Life Insurance Domain

About the Role :

Are you a product leader with a deep understanding of the Life Insurance ecosystem? We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to spearhead our digital evolution. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex insurance operations and cutting-edge digital solutions. You will be the custodian of our product roadmap, ensuring our core systems (Life Asia) and customer-facing platforms deliver unparalleled value while staying ahead of regulatory shifts.

Key Responsibilities :

- Strategy & Roadmap : Define and execute a data-driven product roadmap for Life Insurance products, balancing business growth with technical feasibility.

- Core Systems Optimization : Lead initiatives to enhance and integrate Life Asia core systems to drive operational efficiency and seamless policy administration.

- Requirement Engineering : Translate high-level business needs into granular Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs).

- Cross-functional Leadership : Act as the central node between Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Sales, and IT teams to ensure product alignment and successful delivery.

- Digital Innovation : Drive digital transformation by optimizing customer journeys, from onboarding to claims processing.

- Regulatory & Compliance : Ensure all product features and processes strictly adhere to IRDAI regulations and industry standards.

- Product Lifecycle Management : Oversee the end-to-end journey from ideation and market research to post-launch performance monitoring and iterative optimization.

What We're Looking For :

- Industry Depth : 8+ years in Product Management, with a mandatory 4+ years specialized experience in the Life Insurance domain.

- Technical Proficiency : Hands-on experience with Life Asia (or similar core insurance platforms like Polisy/Asia or SMART).

- Documentation Excellence : A proven track record of drafting high-quality BRDs and FRDs that minimize ambiguity for engineering teams.

- Transformation Mindset : Experience in managing digital transformation projects and a deep understanding of Policy Administration Systems (PAS).

- Agile Expertise : Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

- Soft Skills : Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without authority across diverse business functions.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Business, or a related field.

- MBA or professional insurance certifications (e.g., III/LOMA) are a significant plus.
