Experience : 14-20 Years

Notice Period: - immediate to 60 days

Location: - Bangalore only

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to drive the architecture, design, and development of next-generation data mobility features for PowerStore.

This role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, strong programming fundamentals, and hands-on experience with AI technologies including LLMs and agentic AI frameworks.

You will define technical strategy, mentor engineering teams, and build scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with customer business needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define architecture and technical roadmap for data mobility and large-scale storage features

- Lead design and development of highly scalable distributed systems

- Drive innovation using AI technologies, LLMs, and agentic AI frameworks

- Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams

- Review system designs and ensure best practices for scalability, reliability, and performance

- Lead technical decision-making across multiple engineering teams

- Design and develop backend services using Java (RxJava preferred)

- Build high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems

- Develop APIs, services, and frameworks for data mobility features

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested production-grade code

- Drive performance tuning, debugging, and optimization

- Integrate AI tools and LLM-based workflows into product capabilities

- Build agentic AI-based automation and orchestration workflows

- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and apply them to product features

- Design intelligent data movement and decision engines

- Architect large-scale storage and data mobility platforms

- Design microservices-based distributed systems

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and resilience

- Define system interfaces and integration architecture

- Lead design reviews and architecture governance

- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads

- Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams

- Drive agile Scrum execution and sprint planning

- Influence engineering best practices and coding standards

- Communicate technical vision to stakeholders

- Ensure software reliability, observability, and maintainability

- Lead root cause analysis and production issue resolution

- Drive CI/CD adoption and automation

- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks

- Improve engineering productivity and development lifecycle

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong proficiency in Java (RxJava preferred)

- Expertise in distributed systems design and development

- Deep understanding of concurrency, multithreading, and performance tuning

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

- Experience building scalable backend platforms

- Solid understanding of microservices architecture

- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems

- Strong knowledge of networking and system internals

- Experience with REST APIs and service-oriented architecture

- Understanding of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes preferred)

- Hands-on experience with AI tools and platforms

- Experience working with LLMs

- Exposure to agentic AI frameworks

- Experience building AI-driven automation workflows

- Understanding of prompt engineering and model orchestration
