Senior Power BI & Azure Data Factory Engineer

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Power BI & Azure Data Factory Engineer to design and implement scalable data pipelines and enable powerful business intelligence outcomes. The role demands deep hands-on experience in ETL development, data modeling, Azure cloud services, SQL development, and Power BI integration.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory.

- Implement and optimize end-to-end data workflows across cloud environments.

- Develop Power BI dashboards and data models, integrating datasets for impactful business insights.

- Write highly optimized SQL queries while working with relational databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.

- Leverage Python (Pandas, NumPy, etc.) for data extraction, cleansing, validation, and transformation.

- Design efficient data models and schemas with a strong understanding of normalization and denormalization.

- Ensure data governance and security, including role-based access control, encryption, and masking.

- Utilize Azure Blob Storage, Azure Key Vault, and other Azure components for secure and scalable data operations.

- Implement task automation and orchestration for data pipeline execution and monitoring.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address data requirements and resolve issues proactively.

Essential Skills & Experience :

- 8- 9 years of experience in data engineering and BI development

- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience with relational databases

- Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory for ETL pipeline building

- Proficiency in Power BI dashboard development, data modeling & DAX (preferred)

- Knowledge of Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy) Azure cloud exposure including Blob Storage, Key Vault, ADF

- Experience with data governance, security, and access control

- Familiarity with automation/orchestration tools for pipeline management

- Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration & adaptability

Good to Have :

- Experience with big data platforms Databricks, Spark, Hadoop

- Exposure to CI/CD for data pipelines

- Implementation experience across enterprise-scale BI environments
