Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior PHP WordPress Developer to join our dynamic development team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP, WordPress CMS, custom theme and plugin development, API integrations, and performance optimization. This role requires hands-on coding, architectural decision-making, and mentoring junior developers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented PHP code adhering to WordPress coding standards.
- Customize WordPress core, themes, and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Integrate third-party APIs and RESTful services.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
- Optimize website performance (load times, caching, SEO best practices).
- Work closely with UI/UX designers, front-end developers, and content teams to implement solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in PHP and WordPress development.
- Expertise in custom WordPress theme and plugin development.
- Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Strong experience with MySQL and database optimization.
- Familiarity with WordPress REST API, WooCommerce, and ACF (Advanced Custom Fields).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Understanding of SEO, website speed optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
- Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg (optional but preferred).
- Good understanding of security best practices in WordPress.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Nice to Have :
- Experience with headless CMS or decoupled WordPress architecture.
